Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia
After an initial consultation in the Spring of 2022, Flower Powered Landscape Design was hired as the gardener of record for this stunning twin home in the borough of Chestnut Hill Philadelphia. The residential property is made up of a front garden, side garden and rear courtyard garden. The gardens also have multiple window boxes and planters throughout. Although the owner is an experienced gardener herself, she is a very busy professional and had some physical limitations that reduced her full gardening abilities.
Initially, the client wanted to achieve a few key objectives. 1. Add landscape lighting to the courtyard garden. 2. Add shrubs and perennials to certain areas. 3. Fix irrigation issues. 4. Develop a maintenance schedule that kept the gardens and grounds looking stellar throughout the seasons.
Flower Powered developed a monthly garden maintenance schedule that included adding new succulents, perennials and shrubs, as needed, while pruning all deciduous trees, shrubs, evergreens and roses. During each visit, we meticulously maintained the garden areas, including weeding, mulching feeding and grounds cleanup as necessary.
At this writing, we are entering the winter season. The garden was fully winterized and we are already looking forward to seeing the garden spring to life next year.
