After finding our business listing on houzz, the client called Flower Powered landscape design in for a free consultation. She had recently moved into her home and spent the winter decorating the interior. The ranch-style home had good bones and some mature trees, but no curb appeal. Flower Powered quickly drew up garden plans for the front yard while the back yard was getting a new fence. The design specified two new garden areas on either side of the front walkway and surrounding the front porch. Evergreens, Hydrangea, Heuchera and Hostas were used to add color and 4-season interest, while low maintenance shade plantings, underneath two Dogwood trees, completed the welcoming effect.
The client was so happy with the final results that she expanded the scope of her project to the back yard as well.
With the completed fence installed, our landscape designer drew up a back yard plan that met the client's wish list. Her priorities included, ideas for replacing an outdated flagstone patio, adding more useable entertainment space, new trees and foundation gardens.
Flower Powered's plan included a composite deck, that covered the dated flagstone, while extending the space an additional 11 feet. This way, the client had an area for seating and one for grilling and dining. The plan also included garden installations around the perimeter of the home, deck and fence line. Now, the client has a back yard of her dreams. Flower Powered expertly maintains the property, including all feeding, pruning, weeding, mulching and shrub trimming.
One of our favorite design/builds to date, this property is a great example of how our collaborative approach leads to great landscaping outcomes.
